Mid-Level Designer/CAD Operator

MiNO Marine LLC, a New Orleans-based naval architecture and marine engineering firm, is seeking a mid-level Designer/CAD Operator to support our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed drawings in AutoCAD, including structural, mechanical, and outfitting details, with limited oversight
• Prepare general arrangement, structural, and mechanical system drawings from engineering input and sketches
• Coordinate drawing packages across disciplines and maintain drawing standards
• Incorporate design changes, redlines, and comments into drawing sets
• Assist engineers with design development, and drawing checks
• Mentor entry-level CAD operators as needed

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in marine, offshore, or adjacent heavy industrial design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Rhino, SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD 3D modeling software a plus
• Working knowledge of vessel arrangements, structural drawings, or mechanical/piping systems a plus
• Ability to work independently from engineering direction with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills
